Food Safety and Quality

San Martin is committed to provide safe, pure, wholesome products to meet our customer expectations and regulatory agencies by following strict food safety policies. We believe the key to providing a safe product is to start at the farm level and bring the same food safety practices to our facility for our final product.  For this reason we keep our staff up to date on any changes regarding food safety and strongly believe in implementing these practices each and every day.    In conjunction with strict Quality Control Department monitoring, San Martin administers these food safety policies using the following programs:

  • Annual GFSI (Global Food Safety Initiative) 3rd Party Audit (PrimusGFS)
  • cGMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices)
  • GAPS (Good Agricultural Practices)
  • HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points)
  • Customer Audits
  • Traceability
  • Both Facility and staff continual improvement and training to keep staff up-to-date on new rules and regulations.
